A top officer announced on Thursday that the Special Cell of the Delhi Police had detained two accused gunmen who had entered the city on the directions of Canadian gangster Arshdeep Dalla for a hit job.
Both inhabitants of Gurdaspur in Punjab, Ravinder Singh, 21, and Navdeep Singh, 26, were sought after in connection with a recent shooting incident outside the home of Ankit Goel, a businessman with roots in Bathinda.After demanding Rs 1 crore, they opened fire on Goel’s home.
Taranjot Singh, who is currently detained in Ferozepur Jail in Punjab, had despatched Ravinder and Navdeep to Delhi to kill a guy who had reported a crime after being threatened with giving the gang Rs 5 crore.According to authorities, the extortion attempt was carried out at Arshdeep Dalla’s request.The two gunmen were detained on September 22 in the vicinity of the Mukarba Chowk Flyover in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri, when they went to meet a Delhi-based contact to carry out their contract, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Rajiv Rajan Singh.
The two have been operating under the guidance of Arshdeep Dalla, the leader of a terror gang located in Canada, who is also working under the guidance of Taranjot Singh, a resident of Punjab.Additionally, Hardeep Nijjar of the Khalistan Tiger Force is a close friend of Taranjot’s (KTF). Nine live cartridges and two semi-automatic weapons were found on them, he claimed.Navdeep admitted to authorities during questioning that he had a fascination with the well-known Taranjot and wanted to make a significant amount of money quickly, so he started following his instructions and met Ravinder.
He had gone to Sonepat, Haryana, at a bus stop to retrieve a suitcase carrying two semi-automatic guns that had been kept by his connections at Taranjot’s request.The officer claimed that the weapons were utilised against the targets chosen by Taranjot.
