The number of COVID-19 cases in India surged to 4,46,26,427 with 2,430 new coronavirus infections reported in a single day, while the number of active cases jumped to 26,618, according to data updated on Saturday by the Union health ministry.The statistics updated at 8 am showed that the number of deaths caused by the sickness has increased to 5,28,874 with 17 fatalities, including 9 deaths that Kerala reconciled.
The number of active cases makes up 0.6% of all infections, and the national COVID-19 recovery rate has risen to 98.76%, according to the health ministry.In the last 24 hours, there has been an increase of 35 cases in the caseload of COVID-19.A daily positivity rate of 1.01 percent was noted. The health ministry said that the weekly positive rate was 1.07 percent.
4,40,70,935 persons have recovered from the illness, and the case fatality rate has been reported at 1.19 percent.The government reports that as of now, the country has received 219.27 crore doses of COVID vaccines as part of the statewide COVID-19 vaccination campaign.On August 7, 2020, India’s COVID-19 total had reached 20 lakh, on August 23, it reached 30 lakh, on September 5 it reached 40 lakh, and on September 16 it reached 50 lakh.
It exceeded the 60 lakh threshold on September 28, the 70 lakh threshold on October 11, the 80 lakh threshold on October 29, the 90 lakh threshold on November 20, and the 1 crore threshold on December 19.Two crores were reached in India on May 4, three crores on June 23, and four crores on January 25 of this year.
